Harriet Elisabeth Beecher Stowe (Jun 14, 1811 – Jul 1, 1896) was an American author and a member of abolitionists movement. She is mostly known for her novel Uncle Tom's Cabin (1852), devoted to harshness of life of slaves. This novel has a massive social resonance across US and Britain, provoked slavers' wrath in the south and fueled anti-slavery-movements in the north.
Hen that hatched Ducks is a short story by Harriet Beecher Stowe. The narrative follows Mrs. Feathertop, who was a hen. A not quite sensible one. In day of her youth she full of uncontainable energy and liveliness. But time comes for everyone to grow up eventually. And sometimes circumstances force ones adolescence. And that was exactly the case of Mrs. Feathertop who found herself in very unlikely situation.
