Harrie Irving Hancock (16 January 1868 – 12 March 1922) was a children's and juveniles books writer of late 19th and early 20th centuries, who was known for his preference to writing at night. He was different styles writer, and had wrote not only fiction, but books on physical fitness and was apparently a sports writer and an expert on Jiu-Jitsu. At his journalist's works hi payed attention on the dangers of smoking. Also, he wrote books of westerns, detective stories, and historical adventures.
