My Cousin has a Broken Heart

Zara's cousin Riley was born with a congenital heart defect. As Riley grows, his sister Megan and cousin Zara watch how he and his family adjust to his surgeries and recovery.

This story is written to help children understand what happens when a brother, sister, cousin or friend goes away to the hospital for a time, and how they can help when he returns home. It is also intended to reduce some of the fear over a loved one's absence.

All proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the American Heart Association.
