Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834) was an English Poet and philosopher, a bright representative of the so-called 'Lake Poets'. During his college years he was absorbed by revolutionary ideas and eventually got expelled for that. Not so many years passed and he became a representative of romanticism, fascinated ancient and medieval times. The quintessence of his literary career was the membership in the 'Lake Poets' society, a club where poets combined worship of the nature with their own distinctictive philosophy.
'The Death Of Wallenstein' is a translation of the second part of Friedrich Schiller's Wallenstein Trilogy from German made by Coleridge. In this part the anticipated conflict leads to a tragic conclusion.
