"The Mystery of Marie Roget" is the short story by American writer Edgar Allan Poe written in 1842. Being a continuation of the story "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" is based on real facts in spite of the facts that all actions take place in Paris, not in New-York. Along with other stories represents one of part of the trilogy about French enthusiastic detective Dupin.
