Eleanor Emily Hodgman Porter (December 19, 1868 – May 21, 1920) is an American children's writer and novelist. She was born in Littleton, New Hampshire, studied singing, but then began to write books. Initially, she wrote a books for children. From under her arm came many wonderful works.
