Eleanor Emily Hodgman Porter (December 19, 1868 – May 21, 1920) is a American children's writer and novelist. She was born in Littleton, New Hampshire, studied singing, but then began to write books. Initially, she wrote a books for children. From under her arm came many wonderful works. At the peak of her career, she has achieved great success and took the eighth place among the best novelists of America. The best known of her books have become "Pollyanna" (1913), on which later made a beautiful film.
"Miss Billy's Decision" is excellent novel by Eleanor Emily Hodgman Porter. The book is a sequel to the main novel Miss Billy (1911). The story of an ordinary lady - Miss Billie and her relationship with Bertram Henshaw. Billy is occupied with a handful of things: first, planning the wedding of Cyril and Maria (the music teacher); second, writing or composing her own songs for publication: this time with a partner, "Mary Jane" Arkwright; third participating or organizing an operetta for charity: if she can play matchmaker for two of her new friends, it would be good.
