INTERVIEW WITH THE ZOMBIE

Samantha Strong is a recent journalism graduate from Arizona State University. Since graduating, she has formed very definite ideas of the role of newspapers in not only just reporting the news but actually making new when necessary. Her mantra is the public has a right to know and consequences are of no concern. She is anxious to find the right story that will propel from the back waters of Phoenix, Arizona to the bright lights of New York or some other national media market. To her good fortune she follows up on the murder of an escaped felon and the partially eaten bodies of some wild animals in the bed of the Salt River, and in her investigations, she encounters a man claiming to be a zombie. The man claims his affliction came about as a result of his misadventures in studying voodoo rituals in Haiti for his doctoral studies. Follow Samantha as she comes of age as a mature woman and news reporter as she evaluates what is really just and morally right and what is truth and fact. She struggles with her desire for national recognition and what fulfills her as a woman. Oh, and along the way, she encounters a real witchcraft Bokor houngan and space aliens while learning valuable life lessons.
