Charles Montgomery Skinner (1852-1907) was an American writer who published myths and legends collection books. His dream was to make American folklore heritage more glorious. Skinner worked in a wide range of genres, he worked as a journalist and a playwright.
"Goody Cole" by Skinner is a short story narrating about a woman that was considered to be a witch. In 1680 she was thrown into a jail with a chain on her leg charged for the death of two calves, for raising the cyclone and for causing the death of Goody Marston's child. The middle ages always were a great place for witch stories and magic actions and probably will remain so.
