The Pathfinder; Or, The Inland Sea

James Fenimore Cooper was a popular American writer in 19th century. He was best known for his historical romances. Before his writer career, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Midshipman, which greatly influenced many of his novels and other writings.
"The Pathfinder, or The Inland Sea" is famous historical novel by James Fenimore Cooper. It was the fourth novel of Cooper where the main fictitious character was Natty Bumppo with the third chronological episode of the Leatherstocking Tales. The action of the book takes place in North America in 1759 during French – Indian war.
