Dave Porter at Star Ranch; Or, The Cowboy's Secret

Edward Stratemeyer (1862-1930) was American businessman and writer. He was one of founders of book-packaging technique based on using of work of multiple freelance authors and used it for his own enterprise, Stratemeyer Syndicate. This was a great contribution to forming of children's fiction genre.
Dave Porter at Star Ranch is a children's novel by Edward Stratemeyer, sixth in his Dave Porter series. After lots of adventures Dave returned to school and settled down at Oak Hall for the time being. But his peaceful presence was disturbed by and invitation to spend summer at a ranch in the far west. He was also allowed take there some of his friends. Dave accepted this invitation, and so began another story of his adventures.
