Edward Stratemeyer (1862-1930) was American businessman and writer. He was one of founders of book-packaging technique based on using of work of multiple freelance authors and used it for his own enterprise, Stratemeyer Syndicate. This was a great contribution to forming of children's fiction genre. Stratemeyer also wrote under his own name on under under pseudonyms Arthur M. Winfield and Capt. Ralph Bonehill. He is often regarded as the Rockfeller of literature.
