Brought together by an overwhelming enemy force and the gigantic machines that are consuming their world, four strangers find themselves struggling to continue on in the face of total extinction. Separately they must face their fears, doubts, and need for basic essentials. Together they have to face each other and what they've been forced to do to stay alive.

Impulsiveness, guilt, hunger, and desperation conspire to destroy the chances of these few remaining humans as they attempt to build a life in the carbon waste. But even the most dire circumstances can be turned around for the good of others...
