Thena, the Golden Pythia, has the highest accuracy rate on Delphi. Though most pythias don't remember their own prophecies, Thena does, and that's why she knows her Observer, Nevan, has falsifyied some of her predictions. Unfortunately, she can't confront him, because pythias who remembered their prophecies have descended into madness. If she exposes him, she will lose her position and be locked away.
Lancer and Thena's growing desire for each other complicates their efforts to battle a corrupt Councilman. Can Thena and Lancer find a way to save her sanity, her planet, and the entire Republic?
