SHADOWS AND TALL TREES is a coming of age story set in the 1980s, about JOHN DYER, a 14 year old who's passion in life is a fantasy role-playing-game called 'Knights and Dragons'. In school he is not doing so well and has been developing some mental issues. He and his friends wait for summer to come in order to spend hours playing the game that lets their imaginations roam free. After a session of playing K&D, the boys meet a teenager that brings darkness into their world, that will send John down a path through religion and into the psychiatry system that forever changes his life and provides a path away from John's darkest demons.
