Jules Gabriel Verne was a French novelist, poet, and playwright best known for his adventure novels and his profound influence on the literary genre of science fiction. The Waif of the Cynthia by Verne and Laurie is one of their best works. The story revolves around a boy Erik who was adopted by Dr. Schwaryencrona. He promised the boys guardians to provide him with better and proper education. As they are out on the quest to search for his real parents, they encounter many risks and adventures that are amazingly depicted. Exhilarating!
