Beyond the Darkness

I have gone out, and I have oil for my lantern. I have put the oil in the lantern, and I have lit it. I have walked through the darkness. As I continue on my interior spiritual pilgrimage, I hope that the time will come when I find Heaven’s door. Then I will knock on the door. As the door opens, a radiant light appears. I hear the word “welcome”, so I enter the door. Then, as I am embraced by Jesus Christ, I again hear His words, “Well done, my son”.


This book is about my own internal spiritual pilgrimage that reveals my own spiritual formation about where I was, where I am now and about how to progress in the future in my spirituality. I was born in 1951. I received my under graduate degree in Sociology from Northwestern University and my Masters degree in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago.
