The Wounded Lion

The Wounded Lion is a story by Andrew Lang about young girl who had a kind and generous heart but was so poor that she had nothing to live on, and wandered about the world asking for charity. The story begins with a fact that this young girl started to work as a cowherd in the farmer's cottage. Year by year the maid was doing her work well but one day she met a strange lion who turned out to be an enchanted prince by a powerful giant. A generous girl instantly asked how she could disenchant him. But the Lion said it was very difficult because the only way was to get a lock of hair from the head of a king's daughter. Will she manage to rescue the enchanted prince you will know at the end.
