The Young Knight

Twelve-year-old orphan Michael Faversham had no kin but his uncle, Sir Gilbert Faversham. Sir Gilbert was a Knight of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, stationed on the island of Rhodes to defend it from the Turks, so Michael went there to live. He grew up in the midst of two wars: a visible one between the Knights and the Turks; and a hidden one between the Order and the traitors hidden under false vows within it, who caused the loss of Rhodes to the Turks.
