The People of the Mist

The People of the Mist by Rider Haggard is a well known and one of his best fantasy novels in the genre of lost world. This novel brought to Haggard the world's acclaim and had a huge importance in the literary world being the bestseller in the 70th. The plot of the story is a narrative of a British adventurer seeking wealth in the wild world of Africa. The main character is Leonard Outram makes his best efforts to redress the undeserved loss of his family estates and his finance by searching treasure, gold, money, or at least fortune in the South continent. But the adventures of Outram don't end only at this stage. On his way he is going to find out the legend of unknown people named people of the Mist, save his family and lover and perform a hair-raising escape from a crocodile god.
