Seeing the Last of You

Henry Archibald Hertzberg Lawson (17 Jun 1867 – 2 Sep 1922) was an Australian writer and poet. Lawson is among the best-known Australian poets and fiction writers of the colonial period and is often called Australia's "greatest short story writer". Like the majority of Australians, Lawson lived in a city, but had had plenty of experience in outback life, in fact, many of his stories reflected his experience.
Seeing the Last of You is a short, "sketch" story by Henry Lawson. Jack is a swagman, a wanderer, never staying in one place for too long. It is often that he has to say goodbye to people he met on his journeys. And, of course, he has some thoughts on the matter he is willing to share with anyone, who wishes to read this little piece of mind.
