Jake, Ruby, And The Vintage Love Letters - A Short Story

On Valentines day Jake gives Ruby a book of famous love letters. They are soon intrigued with a twelfth century Monk, and his lover, Heloise. Their letters are full of: deep ardor, allusions to sex, and shame. Over a period of weeks, they discuss the book passionately, arguing, laughing, and there is even a point when the book is in danger of being hurled across the room.
Spurred on because of her mother's not so hidden affairs, Ruby assures Jake from the beginning that there had to be a ring involved before she would sleep with him. Jake consents; besides he has his own embarrassing secret, regarding sexual harassment from a woman his mother's age. Oh, and someone tried to kill him over it.
