When The Ice Breaks

It is a period of unrest around Jupiter. While no longer under the imperial rule of Earth, the moons of Jupiter are not united. Skirmishes and raiding are weakening the fragile peace between the kingdoms.

On the ice and ocean moon of Europa, King Samuel Wen-Cai tries to hold together both his council and his mind as he deals with the loss of his wife and first born son. However, there is dissension in his ranks.

He has sent agents to seek out his youngest son, who has taken up with an unlikely crew of misfits. Unfortunately his desire for revenge against the former empire and his obsession with his family has blinded him to the sinister forces around him…
