Author Jimi D. Dillon, A.K.A., Daniel J. Dillon, was born in Liberia, West Africa. He is a licensed and ordained Protestant minister and is an associate minister of Cross Roads Community Church in Houston, Texas. He has an associate degree in Law Enforcement from Owens Technical College, Toledo, Ohio. He has worked as a police officer, and currently works in probation with Harris County Juvenile Probation Department.
Besides this poem book, Idyll Says, he has written and published Calamity of the Heathens in March 2002 and other poems and short stories. Some of his notable poems appeared in Toledo, Ohio's largest circulation newspaper, The Blade, in February 1984. Another of his writings was published on the website Poetry.com in August 2001.
