The Death Bree

The "Death Bree" is an ancient story-legend that tells about a woman lived in the Camp-del-more of Strathavon. All her husbandry consisting of cattle were exposed by some unknown disease and a great numbers of them were dying daily. Some wise people said that it was evidently the effect of some infernal agency, the power of which could not be destroyed by any other means than the never-failing method – the juice of a dead head from the churchyard.
