Steve Fisher was a prolific author of detective and mystery stories. Considering the quantity of stories he wrote and the variety of magazines they were published in, he must have been writing something that someone liked. That's why I decided to scan this story. I didn't care for some of the stereotyping, but otherwise I liked the story. Give it a try!
