Orbis Pictus

"Orbis Pictus" or another name "Orbis Sensuallum Pictus" is a first picture textbook for children written by Czhech educator Comenius. This books familiars a children's encynclopedia intended for children. The book itself devided into chapters illustrated by woodcuts, which has a description in the accompaying text. The book has 150 chapters and covers a wide range of subjects including inmanimate nature, botanics, zoology, religion, humans and their activity. Now it is a great example for children to show that education is not only studying process. It is a history of human life.
