The Thanksgiving of the Wazir is an Indian fairy tale, a Punjabi story included it in The Lilac Fairy Book. The story follows two kings, a Hindu raja and a Mohammedan bâdshah, ruling neighboring kingdoms. They were fierce rivals in power and wealth, constantly trying to defeat one another. But none of them could best his opponent. At last they came up an agreement to stop useless bloodshed. But this fragile balance will be shaken by a little accident...
