This book is a fun way to look at pigs; it doesn't contain all the information available for all breeds. This is where it gets a little tricky. Some highly crossed pigs will resemble a specific breed. It is in your best interest to see both parents before purchasing a pig for breeding. If you are only interested in Barbequing a pig, it probably doesn't matter, but you most likely will get inferior meat quality. I must emphasize that this book is a fun way to look at pigs.
