Speaking as one Friend to Another: On the mystical way forward

In a meeting for worship one is given, now and again, by the Holy Spirit or the indwelling Christ, a ministry in the form of a message to impart to the gathered people of God. Is it not possible to consider the whole Society of Friends in a mystical sense as a Meeting for Worship? If this is true, may it not also he possible on occasion that a Friend may be given a message that can speak to the condition of the Society of Friends as a whole, in somewhat the same way that A Guide To True Peace spoke in the nineteenth century? To presume to offer such a ministry might appear a pretentious claim, yet that is precisely what I propose to do in this pamphlet.
