A Fine Kettle Of Fish

A book containing poems, short stories (fact & fiction), and watercolour paintings. The authoress was born in Gosforth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1931, educated locally and studied short-hand and typing at Skerry's College before joining the Civil Service at the age of 18. Following the death of her husband Eric in 1995, she joined the U3A travel and writers' group to expand her social life. The stories reflect some of her childhood memories and subsequent trips with the U3A. The material was created between 1997 and 2009. Mary currently lives in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire.
