Bird Feathers and Dog Tails

As I began to write this book, my animal friends were doing what they usually do. Jessie was in

the background chirping and Simon was on the floor nearby wondering why I am not giving him

all of my attention. This has been a journey learning about these animals that came into my life

in unexpected ways. God used them to teach me about His personality and love for me through

their distinct personalities. To know that their names have unique meanings related to God’s

character touched my soul because when I named them I didn’t know what their names meant.

Animals don’t speak in words. They do speak in their looks, behavior, and personalities and the

joy they have just in wanting to be near us. God wants to speak to us through these creatures

he has made that have no voice but plenty to say.

Join me as I introduce Jessie and Simon to you. I know they will remind you of the animals and
