'Brave And Bold' is a book by Horatio Alger, and a bright example of his writing style. As in many other books by Alger, the central character of the story is a poor boy. Robert Rushton's father has dissapeared so now he is in charge of the family and he must work hard at a factory to earn for their living. One day he gets in a quarrel with the factory superintendant's son, and of course the poor boy is blamed for and fired.
