The dance must follow: Sixteen cantos and an epilogue

The Dance Must Follow is a verse portrait of the artist as dancer, gardener, photographer, and dreamer. The artist in question is Moses Pendleton, internationally known as a founder of the ground-breaking dance troupes Pilobolus and Momix, of which he is artistic director, and as a two-time Olympic choreographer. The poem, actually begun by Moses himself, recounts episodes in his unconventional creative life over a 30-year span in funny, lyrical, and accessible rhyming verse. 74 photographs, mostly by Moses, illustrate the book.
