With the mounting stress multi-billionaire Donovan Rousseau placed on himself, those whom he are close to urge him to relax. Determined to make one of the most important deals since he acquired Central Therapeutics from his late father, relaxing doesn't appear to be an option.

He placed his personal life and everything desires on the back burner to focus on work. The string of gold diggers he was involved with in the past also kept him away from entering relationships. While he achieved professional success, his personal life was lacking. When he was younger he wanted to be in a mutually loving and supportive marriage complete with children to raise and dote on. Now at the age of 35 he hasn't achieved it.

Although his gorgeous black secretary and new personal assistant has been the object of his eye for a year, he resists pursuing her. Entering a relationship with her would raise some eyebrows.

Adriana Bellamy finds him attractive. His dominant attitude, towering physique, and fair skin that complimented his rich green eyes always made her melt. Unfortunately his arrogant and mean spirited demeanor at work turns her off most of the time. The new responsibilities she has in her life coupled with her own fears keep her away from dating anyone.

After an incident during a party, both Donovan and Adriana begin to let go of what holds them back from what they truly want.
