Tennessee Outpost

Brian and his sister Polly were sent to visit their Uncle John and cousins, Norman, Sue, and Hugh, on the Tennessee frontier, on the east bank of the Mississippi River. It was a dangerous place to be; in addition to the constant threat of Indian attack, there were Spanish forts and soldiers, not to mention the Mendozas, a family of adventurers who wanted Uncle John's land, just across the river. It didn't help that Norman and Sue considered the Mendozas to be their dearest friends.
