Easton's Bible Dictionary

Matthew George Easton (1823-1894) was a Scottish Presbyterian preacher and writer. His book Easton’s Bible Dictionary is an excellent source for Bible scholars. It was published, three years after his death, in 1897 by Thomas Nelson. It was originally published as Illustrated Bible Dictionary, but is now known as Easton’s Bible Dictionary. It contains almost 4,000 entries relating to the Bible, from a 19th century perspective.
