DAMON AND PYTHIAS is a famous short story by James Arthur Baldwin. The story is about two friends, whose names are Damon and Pythias. Once Pythias has done something that the tyrant Dionysius did not like. And he sends him to prison and wants to kill him. Pythias is far away and wants to see his parents.
