Gifts from the Gods (Myrddin's Heir Bk 4)

Book 4 deals with significant events between Sunday 26th June and Tuesday 9th August 2011. There is jockeying for power inside the Council of Thirteen. Groc the Knocker survived the freak whirlwind that deconstructed the inaugural meeting of the National Fairy Front and has vowed revenge. Titus Temple is relocated on a planet where he might conceivably do some good, and where Grace becomes a Goddess. She travels with Miranda to Carrickmoor on the west coast of Scotland, close to the Isle of Skye. Meanwhile, Gordon and Nick are exploring the Boyne Valley in Leinster, Ireland. Between them they encounter gods, giants, fairies and other ‘mythological’ creatures in a number of challenging and enthralling adventures. Nick and Miranda acquire guardian angels of their own. The chaotic anarchy of the Real Irish Fairy Defence League at the Loughcrew Cairns is contrasted with the ordered proceeding of the Sinn Fein Sidhe atop the Hill of Tara. Carman the Goddess of the Damned puts in a brief appearance with her sons Dub Dian and Dother. She appears to have learned a thing or two from Margaret Thatcher (or was it the other way round?)…
