Woody Allen has always fascinated me a a friend, a mentor and rarely as a client. He is a humor writer par excellence who I spoke with on the phone when I was 14 years old, during a radio call in show about the Holocaust. He sent me an old fashioned postal mail letter after that, encouraging me to enter show business if that's what I wanted to do for a living. But something happened. I went to the library to look up some of this books, such as Without Feathers, and found a book that appeared to be from the 1920s, listing an unusual title. The author of the book was listed on the spine as God. This seemed unusual; I checked out the book, with no qualms from the female librarian that one of the books I was leaving with was "by God." When I got it home, it turned out to be by a man, one who was neither God nor the devil (who might certainly have claimed he was God by then, in the post-nuclear age), namely Woody Allen. I read some of the book. What I found launched my writing career somewhat, which had already begun, and which culminated in my being a book ghost writer, editor and marketer. The stories in this book cover a wide range of territory, some of it being ironic comments and fictional stories about odd political events and what I noticed about them in real life. I don't mean any of it to be factual; it is a compiled list of my own copyrighted short stories, created over more than 10 years of time. They are all original, creative, and are twists on a variety of themes and ideas I have had to express throughout my life, based on an imaginary book by Woody Allen that disappeared from our table the moment I decided to show it to my parents, going "Woody Allen sent me this odd book..." To this day, I think I dreamed it about the book, or entered a mysterious zone where God and someone else entered my life and changed things summarily - things that were already the way they were and were going to be.
