The Marksons get more than they bargained for when they moved to Getzelman Estates. Adventure and intrigue await when the three children step outside their kitchen door. The strange old man and woman that live across the street are just the peculiarities that quickly arise. The neighborhood is filled with children that love to play outside and not one of them has a cell phone to distract them. Soon after moving in, each person in the family begins to realize how different their new house is from the last one they resided in. The children thought it was odd for their house to have a name, (Oakford) instead of a number. The house gets his name from the three majestic Oaks growing in the backyard. There are spirits that roam the property and want to interact with the youngsters. The old man from across the street is always around and not minding his own business. The neighborhood children have seen strange things happen at Oakford too. Marcie, Michael, and Allan Markson have to add up the clues they find to solve the mystery of what is going on outside their backdoor.
