The Sky Behind Me 2nd Edition, Extended Downwind is a republication of my popular aviation memoir, with an added chapter on Crew Resource Management. TSBM is based on my forty year career in a helicopter cockpit. I flew all over the world, having all kinds of adventures from a year of combat flying in Vietnam to herding bears in Alaska, spotting tuna in the Pacific Ocean, counting power poles in Ohio and much more. I flew more than 3,000 emergency medical patients in Iowa, and finished my career flying 2,500 tours of the Hawaiian Island of Kauai. My 'extended downwind' is a new career teaching Crew Resource Management to aviation operators and crews all over America.
