A Dark and Twisting Road

Alexa is one of the lucky ones.

When the faeries kidnapped and tortured her, she managed to escape. Not everyone who has been taken does, and even if someone finds their way back to Earth, they’re not always sane after the ordeal.

Alexa doesn’t feel entirely sane herself. She’s been a loner since her escape, well aware that if she ever did open up to anyone about what happened to her she would sound like a lunatic. The only friend Alexa can’t stand to cut contact with is Dinah, and even she doesn’t know about the faeries.

Keeping quiet may have been a terrible mistake. On the morning Dinah turns up missing, all of Alexa’s worst nightmares come true. She knows exactly where Dinah’s been taken.

And she knows she’s the only one who can go into Faerie and get Dinah back.
