Heading Out

Head out into the world of cosmic and cryptic poems and prose. As well as being a wordsmith by nature, a varied life has contributed to Roger’s inspiration. Growing up in the Seattle area, four years in a co-ed private Quaker boarding high school in Pennsylvania, the psychedelic 60’s and the earthy 70’s in western Washington state, a cosmic 80’s in Santa Cruz, California, and traveling and living in Europe have provided fertile grounds for this collection of creative writings and poetry.

Buying this book, I’ll tell you right now, is good for your health. / Though it may seem, on the surface, to compromise your wealth. / This book you can open, and read and reread, whatever you find. / You’ll get a new meaning, with each day’s new light, and that’s good for your mind. / A penny saved, is a penny earned, so they’ve always told you. / But listen carefully, to what I say to you now, and you’ll know it rings true. / Reading the words in this book, is like a walk in the woods, and good for your heart. / And spending those pennies, will free your soul, if spent to buy art.
