This is a reader friendly and effective self-help book for adults who were sexually abused as children, who continue to be negatively affected in their daily adult lives, but are not yet ready to see a specialist counsellor or prefer to work alone. The exercises will assist you to understand and challenge the ongoing negative impact in your adult life. I know, personally and professionally, that being sexually abused in childhood or adolescence is a distressing, confusing, traumatic and difficult experience, both at the time of the abuse and in later life. This self-help book is based on a highly successful group program, which 2015 research confirmed had benefits immediately after completing the program. It showed those benefits endured and even increased over the intervening years. As co-facilitator of the group program, delivered twice annually over a number of years, I know it helps and want you to benefit. Check out the first 10% without charge and see if it works for you. I hope it does.
