As they say, life is never easy, and so it as Gloria finds herself blind sided by the depth of the relationship between her husband and best friend, after her best friend Gwen dies.
Faced with living with forgiveness, a glimmer of fight appears, taking Gloria from her husband and cushioned comfort zone, to set up a new home and life in a small fishing village. Where if she thought it was going to be easy, she soon learns it's not. Determined to be financially independent, Gloria takes up employment at The Blue House restaurant, a popular eatery for locals and tourists alike, run by the ever grouchy, yet good hearted Anton, whose Ridgeback Rufus soon takes Gloria under his wing. It is here that Gloria considers her destiny, reflecting on what has past and where she is going. And while reflecting is fine, day to day is reality, meaning she must first be accepted into the community, and then overcome a brutal attack that may or may not send her back to her comfort zone. In the end for Gloria, it will all be about strength of character.
