"How To Steal a Truck Full of Nickels" is a funny story about despair.

On the run and out of money, small time hustler Reuben Nash hijacks a truck from the Denver Mint driven by his unsuspecting older brother Rico to help resolve a long standing debt to a small time crime boss and loan shark named Jimmy Friday. Unfortunately for them, they end up stealing less money than Reuben has promised to pay back to Jimmy. Faced with a choice of permanent bodily harm or a long stretch in federal prison, Reuben and Rico decide a long shot plan to cash in their stolen coin and escape to Mexico to start their lives over.

After Rico’s ex-girlfriend Pamela re-enters his life with big ideas for the truck full of nickels, it’s a madcap race to the border keeping one step ahead of former FBI agent Martin Shea and a who’s who of local and federal law enforcement, con men, common thieves and opportunists.
