The fact of the matter, we live in a self-driven, uncaring, and unfriendly world. You weep and nobody cares that you weep! You soak your pillow with tears and no one cares to see your grief! Yeah, no one cares that you shed your tears of disappointment, failure, and regrets. No one cares that you cry in the faces of the difficult relationship, marriage separation, divorce, death, hardship, and disaster. You grieve, yes you do. But those you think should offer consolation tragically abandon you to wander alone in the wailing desert of life.
Regardless of all the buzzes and noises of the populous world, a grieving soul is the loneliest. In the disaster of a broken relationship, only the loving partner actually felt the depths of grieving. The one who doesn’t love has no heart to weep. Only the jilted knows the weights of brokenness when his or her affection is rewarded with violence, or separation, or divorce, or death of loved one. What is true in relationships, is also true in friendship, business partnership, and professional partnership, among others.
Grieving is inevitable. Especially when loss, hurt, troubles and agony become the soul’s song. Yet, one fact we must not forget is that, in spite of any man’s travails of sorrows, life goes on. The clock keeps ticking and the world keeps going. It is therefore dangerous for any of us to stay longer in the dark valley of life more than we ought to. Such may spell doom, stagnation, starvation, backwardness, and even death. Never let life holds you down in grief longer than it ought to. That will certainly leave you at the back.
In days of grieving, we need the grace to hold back the flood of tears and despair, obtain the comfort divine, come out of the valley, and move up to the mountain peak of life and joy. Yes, this is the only way to rising and shining again. And just as it takes grace to hold on and move on, we will also need courage to wither-off the storms, stand upright, and dare to start all over again. Yes, it really takes the courage and resilience of the faith-heroes to refuse to shift the ground when being beaten down by the storms of life!
In the dark storming days, we need the power to get up out of the dark arena of life, move up from our valley of tears, and make a new beginning. Friend, the storming days are but a dark interlude. The melody of victory and rejoicing will soon be heard loud in your life.
