Corlandian Ballads Tract Two - Street Spirit free sampler
This is a fantasy-science-fiction saga written in a series of nine novels, based around the Jungian concept of the Nekyia, or ‘night-sea journey’.
The Middle Lands of Corlandia are a collection of disparate nations ruled from the Kingdom of Staedt, the central bureaucracy. After centuries of national and civil wars across the continent, the main powers came together to create a separate administering authority to which each nation should turn.
Upon this background tapestry are woven the tales of individuals who will shape the future of the political and social dioramas of the world they live in. And unknowingly, they will all be subject to the machinations of Eldar Lonost, a Loremaster who has designs on mastery of the continent. The creeping tendrils of Eldar’s plans reach into every nation; every culture. Through deception, bribery, corruption and force, he intends to quietly gain control of each nation’s ruling power one by one, until he has undermined the controlling power of Staedt, whereupon he can wrest control for himself.
Each novel in the Ballads saga tells the tales of characters caught up unwittingly in Eldar’s schemes, culminating in the final novel - Liars' Chair - where characters from the series are brought together in a final confrontation with the Loremaster in a life and death struggle for ultimate control over the future of the Middle Lands.
