Every Witch reaches the age when she must go out into the world and make a name for herself. Young Melly ventures out to an area known as Wrenville to generate the fear she needs to keep her magic strong. She quickly learns that being "On Your Own" is not all it's cracked up to be. But with the help of her spell-books, her determination, and a black cat named Cedric; she may just stand a chance.
